ICCFA Broadens Membership Benefits By Offering Continuing Education Through Online Courses

Sterling, VA - In keeping with a long-standing tradition of providing exceptional member benefits that support industry excellence, the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) has partnered with Dignity University to offer continuing education credits through online courses to ICCFA members.

This partnership will enhance value for ICCFA members by offering convenient, affordable online training that meets most states' CE requirements for licensed funeral professionals.

Twelve online courses are currently offered in English and Spanish and are available 24/7 from home or office. Available courses are Back Safety, Bloodborne Pathogens, Defensive Driving, Fire Safety, Forklift Safety, Groundskeeper: Be A Pro!, Hazard Communications: Identifying the Dangers, Hearing Protection, Lockout/Tagout, Office Safety, Respiratory Protection, and Trenching and Shoring. Not only can these Dignity U courses help members meet their CE requirements, but they can also be used by members' employees to fulfill OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requirements.

Founded in 1887, the ICCFA is the only international trade association representing all segments of the cemetery, cremation and funeral service profession. Members operate more than 7,200 cemeteries, funeral homes, crematories, memorial designers and related businesses worldwide.

Dignity University, the educational arm of Service Corporation International, has been providing quality training to employees since June 2004. Through this unique partnership, Dignity U is able to extend its course offerings to industry professionals.
